Hope is measurable. And Hope is a changeable quality. This means that you can learn to be more hopeful. The Hope Scale is measured by 8 items. You can take the test below to learn about your level of Hope.

You can find your Hope score by following these directions. The Willpower Subscale score is found by adding together items 2, 6, 7, and 8; the Pathway Subscale score is found by adding items 1, 3, 4, and 5. The total Hope Scale score is found by adding the four Willpower and the four Pathways items together.
